Krasnodar Territory hosts business mission from China

Entrepreneurs from the People’s Republic of China are building partnerships with Kuban companies. Business representatives of the two countries discussed cooperation in the supply of food, agricultural products and alcoholic beverages.

«We see a steady increase in exports of Kuban products to China. China is the second largest buyer of Kuban products. And it is the first among countries that buy food products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from us. Such international meetings give a boost to mutual trade. Over the past six months, the total trade turnover of the Krasnodar Territory with China has grown more than 1.5 times, and exports have increased by 36 per cent,» said Alexander Ruppel, Vice-Governor of the Krasnodar Territory.

Business representatives from China held several B2B meetings with Kuban manufacturers. The official part of the event was opened by a panel, at which the parties discussed the demand for goods of the Krasnodar Territory in the People’s Republic of China.

As part of the business mission, the foreign guests visited a flour mill in Ust-Labinsk, a grain elevator, vegetable oil and livestock farms, and a sugar factory. The delegation was also interested in a small production facility in the village of Bryukhovetskaya. The individual entrepreneur produces cold-pressed sunflower and rapeseed oil, soybean flour.

Interest in bilateral foreign economic cooperation between China and Kuban grows from year to year. The region’s main exports are oil and fat products, oilseeds and fruits, meat and meat by-products, plastic products.
