Krasnodar Region names its best exporters of the year
The regional stage of the competition was organised by the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region and the Export Support Centre.
«For the Krasnodar Region, exports remain one of the key drivers of economic development. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the region’s companies exported goods worth approximately 2.2 billion dollars. Moreover, two-thirds of this volume consisted of non-resource, non-energy exports. This shows that Krasnodar Region companies are in demand on international markets and successfully compete across a wide range of goods and services,» said Yevgenia Vorobiova, First Deputy Head of the Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity of the Krasnodar Region, at the awards ceremony.
The top exporters were selected in the industrial and agro-industrial sectors, as well as in the Food Products and New Geography categories. A special judging panel assessed the companies’ performance in 2025. The criteria included annual export volumes, the geographical reach of their export deliveries, the range of products exported, participation in international trade fairs in Russia and abroad, and other achievements reflecting the companies’ foreign economic activity.
«For us, this competition provides an opportunity to assess the results of the work carried out by the Export Support Centre in partnership with entrepreneurs throughout the entire export process. Last year, more than a thousand small and medium-sized enterprises in the Krasnodar Region received over 3,500 support measures to help them promote and bring their products to international markets. Since the beginning of this year, the number of such enterprises has already reached 740, while the number of support services provided to them exceeded 1,800. Today, we can see that these efforts are producing results,» said Roman Vorotnikov, Director of the region’s Export Support Centre.
According to Roman Vorotnikov, the 2025 competition featured companies that had entered the markets of Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Thailand, China, Bangladesh, Turkey, and other countries.
The winners of the regional stage will go on to compete for the national title of Exporter of the Year.
In 2025, following the regional stage of the All-Russian Award for International Cooperation and Export, Exporter of the Year: Made in Russia, exporters from the Krasnodar Region won 19 awards, one of the strongest results among the regions of the Southern Federal District. At the federal stage of the competition, the Krasnodar Region ranked among the top three regions by the number of participating companies. Two companies from the Krasnodar Region won national awards: first place in the Exporter of the Year in the Services Sector category for large enterprises and third place in the Trader of the Year category for small and medium-sized enterprises.
