Krasnodar Region’s booming resort sector earns high praise from Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko

At Moscow’s 5th International Tourism Forum «Travel!», Governor Veniamin Kondratyev showcased Krasnodar Region’s tourism potential to Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

«On behalf of the Russian Government, I want to thank the regional authorities and everyone in the hospitality industry who make Krasnodar Region a welcoming and safe destination for tourists,» Chernyshenko said. «Your contribution is crucial to achieving the President’s ambitious goal of attracting 140 million visitors annually by 2030. It’s clear that your growth is outpacing the market, and we stand ready to support your continued success.»

Veniamin Kondratyev, in turn, expressed gratitude highlighting the government’s ongoing commitment to the region’s tourism sector.

«This year, we’ve already welcomed 4 million visitors and are fully prepared for a good resort season ahead. With 11,000 hotels offering a combined capacity of 630,000 guests, Krasnodar Region is focused on delivering exceptional service and expanding accommodations, so that our visitors want to come back. Currently, 65 major investment projects worth 750 billion rubles are underway, set to add 50,000 premium hotel rooms over the next five years,» Kondratyev said.
