Veniamin Kondratyev meets with pharmaceutical manufacturers from India

The governor of the Krasnodar Region and Raj Prakash Vyas, President of Corporate Affairs at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, discussed the possibility of establishing a new production facility in the Krasnodar Region.

«Your company is well known on the global market. The development of the pharmaceutical and medical industries is also one of our priorities. The Krasnodar Region has a population of over six million people and welcomes more than 18 million visitors every year, so we are keen to see this project move forward. It is particularly important that you plan not simply to build a manufacturing plant but to establish a research facility and a production facility for high-quality medicines. These products will be in demand not only in the Krasnodar Region but across the country. We consistently support projects of this kind at every stage of implementation and work to create favourable conditions for doing business. The region offers more than 220 federal and regional support measures, including tailored project assistance, tax incentives, subsidies, and preferential loans. As a result, 760 investment projects are currently being implemented in the Krasnodar Region,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Raj Prakash Vyas thanked the governor for his hospitality and support. He spoke about Cadila Pharmaceuticals, which began operating in 1951.

«We produce affordable medicines and deliver them to even the most remote areas. We take a comprehensive approach to quality: at every stage of production, we evaluate our results and identify areas for improvement. We are a reliable company with a strong reputation, and consumer trust is our top priority. We intend to establish a facility producing world-class medicines in compliance with Russian legislation. Our strategic goal is to help the Krasnodar Region to become a national centre for cutting-edge pharmaceutical production,» said Raj Prakash Vyas.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals is one of India’s largest pharmaceutical companies, with operations in 125 countries worldwide. It manufactures a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter medicines, herbal products, and skincare products. The investor plans to allocate 100 million dollars in the construction of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in one of the municipalities of the Krasnodar Region. The future facility will be capable of producing around 60 different medicines and is expected to create over 150 jobs.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governors Alexander Ruppel and Elena Vorobiova.

The Krasnodar Region is one of Russia’s most attractive destinations for investment. At the end of 2025, it ranked fourth in the country in the investment climate ranking compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
